Final Rating: 4/5

The Cover is quite beautifully designed with an image of Yamraj riding his buffalo, with souls around.

The Title “Purgatory Voyage” signifies that the book is written in historical as well as mythological context about the 10 Days day-by-day recount of journey of hell after death.

The Language used is quite simple, relatable and mentally awakening storyline just adds to the experience of the novel.

This book talks about the time period of 925 AD, about Kali, out protagonist and talks about his 10 Days journey through various hells and heaven after his death in this mortal world. The text is inspired by Garud-puraan.

The Book takes us through various hells and heavens, talking about rewards and punishments for various deeds done by the soul in the mortal world. It enables the readers to imagine the voyage vividly.

It is a very well crafted book wherein you will find too emersed within the story and the history indeed. The beauty of this book is the unpredictable storyline, the narration, which is goofy at times.

Do give this book a try. I recommend it to everyone who like to read enriching hindu culture and the aftermath of karma.
